The skin has also been reformulated so it is drier, allowing the bandages to adhere better. Wound closures feature surgical staples for the Mid-Sternal Split, Thoracotomy, Nephrectomy, Laparotomy, Abdominal Hysterectomy, and Amputation Stump. Staples and sutures cannot be removed.
